Neal Patrick McNulty, 58, formerly of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021, in Houston, Texas.
He was born to the late Raymond and Elizabeth Latsko McNulty. He was a graduate of GAR High School and King’s College. Following his time at King’s, Neal moved to Texas, where he worked at Kimberly-Clark and Houston International Airport. Upon the death of his father, Ray, he returned to Pennsylvania to be with family. Neal continued his education at Wilkes-Barre School of Practical Nursing and was then employed for a home health agency and Geisinger Health Systems.
As an avid sports fan, he followed his beloved Mets and Philadelphia Eagles. Music was another joy in his life, with Tom Petty at the top of his list. The true joy in his life, however, was the time he spent with family. He eagerly anticipated trips to Gettysburg with his daughter, Sadie. He provided loving companionship to his mother and was known to be a source of entertainment at family gatherings.
He is survived by his daughter, Sadie, Mountain Top; sister, Marianne and her husband, Morgan, Bethlehem; brother, Ray and his wife, Kathy, Houston, Texas; brother, Mark and his wife, Lisa, Kingston; and many nieces, nephews and cousins, who will miss him greatly.
If you ever met Neal and experienced his smile and incredible sense of humor, you would simply quote Mr. Petty himself, “You got lucky, babe.” He was truly one of a kind.
A private service will be held at the convenience of family on a future date.
