A Virginia educator who’s also on the National Guard is doing double duty as he’s protecting the nation’s capitol.Jake Kohut is a music teacher and a National Guardsman, WJLA-TV reported. And in between his guard shifts, he continues to teach band classes from his Humvee.The Fairfax County, Virginia, teacher arrived in Washington D.C. on Wednesday, the TV station reported. He said it’s “an honor to defend the Constitution.”And when he’s teaching his students, he’s been in uniform, which may require a bit of explanation.”I had a time, just explaining, you know, what’s going on and to make sure that they’re not, they’re not worried about us or me or anything like that,” Kohut told WJLA.Watch the video above to learn more about this story.
