Workers clinging to scaffolding rescued after building explosion

A blast at Baltimore’s BGE building left a pair of workers clinging to scaffolding on the side of the building.The explosion, which could be heard throughout the city’s downtown area, resulted in significant damage to six floors and caused part of the roof to collapse as well.The two workers were cleaning windows on the scaffolding at the time.Fortunately, they were tethered to the building by harnesses, but it took the fire department more than an hour to get them down.”One of the individuals they were able to pull through pretty easily on the 10th floor,” said Chief Niles Ford of the Baltimore City Fire Department. “The other one, our member had to step out on the scaffold, climb up the scaffold and bring him through the 11th floor, actually cut through the window and bring him through the 11th floor.” Stitch brings you heartwarming stories from a community just like yours.
