Because of the pandemic many businesses and communities have been forced to re-think their ways of providing families with children a way to enjoy themselves while staying safe.
Enter the “Jurassic Wonder Dinosaur Drive Thru” by Theodore Productions. It is an animatronic dinosaur expo event that allows children and adults to see what a real dinosaur might have looked like if they were to see one at a close distance from the safety of their car.
The Dinosaurs move and make sounds as if they were alive. Ted Hill, creator of the show, says it is designed for kids typically from ages 1-12. However, many adults enjoy it also. The dinosaurs were created by the same companies that build dinosaurs for movie studios. You can see in person what was previously only on the big screen.
We have been bringing live shows to audiences for over 45 years. The Dinosaur Show has been well received by children. It’s exciting to hear the kids scream — “Look Mom a T-Rex!”
There is also a free educational app that describes each dinosaur. This is downloaded from the Jurassic Wonder website. You can play it from your cell phone or over the car speakers if you have a car bluetooth system.
The event will be held at the South Mountain Fairgrounds on Saturday, Oct 31st and Sunday November 1st. From 9 am to 4pm. Both days. Tickets are sold online in “time slot-windows”.
You simply go online pick a day and time. This helps reduce long traffic lines. The cost is $10 per car so you can bring as many people as you like for $10.
